NEW TESTAMENT CHURCH OF CHRIST THE REDEEMER (INCORPORATING AND VESTING) ACT

   This Act may be cited as the New Testament Church of Christ The Redeemer (Incorporating and Vesting) Act, 1995.

   In this Act-

   "The Church" means the persons for the time being associated in Jamaica under the name of "The New Testament Church Of Christ The Redeemer";

   "The Corporation" means the body incorporated by this Act.

   (1) The following persons that is to say:-

   Rev. Headley Constantine Reid, President

   Rev. Basil Burrell, General Secretary

   Rev. Audley Pinnock, Trustee

   Rev. Rachael Amanda Reid, Treasurer

<TS:0.5,NM,NO>and their successors being the persons for the time being holding their respective offices are hereby declared and appointed a Corporation or Body Corporate to have continuance forever and perpetual succession by the name "The New Testament Church of Christ The Redeemer" and possessed of a Corporate Seal and by that name may sue and be sued in all Courts of this Island.

   (2) No act or proceeding of the Corporation shall be invalidated by reason of any vacancy in the body or in any of the offices mentioned in the preceding subsection or by any defect in the appointment of any person to any such office.

   (3) The Seal of the Corporation shall be of such design and pattern as the Corporation may from time to time determine.

   (4) Upon the recording in the Record Office or the lodging at the Office of Titles of a Certificate under the Seal of the Corporation of the appointment of any person to any of the offices mentioned in subsection (1) of this section the person named in such Certificate shall be deemed to be the holder of the office named therein until the recording or lodging of a Certificate of the appointment of another person to such office.

   (5) No deed or document purporting to be executed by the Corporation shall be of any force or validity unless it be sealed with the Seal of the Corporation and signed by not less than two members of the Corporation one of whom shall be the President for the time being of the Church.
