1   Short title

<IN:LF:0,RT:0.5,FI:0>   This Act may be cited as the Jamaica Combined Cadet Force Act.

2   Interpretation

<IN:LF:0,RT:0.5,FI:0>   In this Act-

<IN:LF:0,RT:0.5,FI:0>   "cadet commission" means a commission granted by the Governor-General under section 6 and carrying rank and precedence only within the Cadet Force; and

<IN:LF:0,RT:0.5,FI:0>   "Cadet Force" means the Jamaica Combined Cadet Force constituted under section 3.

3   Constitution of Force

   (1) There is hereby constituted a cadet training force to be known as the Jamaica Combined Cadet Force.

   (2) The Cadet Force shall be under the command of a Commandant who shall be appointed by the Governor-General.

4   Constitution of Jamaica Cadet Committee

   The Governor-General shall appoint a committee to be known as the Jamaica Cadet Committee whose function it shall be to exercise a general control and superintendence over the Cadet Force in matters affecting policy, finance and training facilities.

5   Composition of Cadet Force

   The Cadet Force shall be composed of such Head-quarters Staff, companies, platoons, sections or other units as the Commandant, with the approval of the Jamaica Cadet Committee, shall appoint.
